Production and warehouse facility set to create 160 jobs

One of Yorkshire's biggest speculative developments - a 140,000 Ft² warehouse - is ready for occupation at Tranmoor Point on Doncaster's West Moor Park.

Developed by a joint venture between Shepherd Developments and Scarborough Development Group Plc and jointly marketed by GVA Grimley in Leeds and Jones Lang Lasalle, the modern start-of-the-art building is available on a freehold or leasehold basis.

One of the latest developments to grace the M18 Doncaster corridor, the industrial park is already occupied by IKEA, Next and Fellowes.

Rob Oliver, of GVA Grimley Leeds, said: "This is a tremendous opportunity for any company seeking accommodation in the North of England. The site has excellent transport links and Finingley International Airport, which is set to start commercial flights by 2005, will be a huge boost to the area."

The site includes 120,345 Ft² of warehouse accommodation, 18,000 Ft² of high specification office space and 131 car parking spaces. It is equipped with loading doors, feature atrium and passenger lift.

Nick Child, director of Shepherd Developments, said: "This has been a significant project for the company and it is good to see the completion of the building. The Doncaster area is growing rapidly and the central location of the facility will, I am sure, be a key factor in a company's decision to move in."

The project was supported by Objective 1, South Yorkshire and part financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

Objective 1 is a European Union funding programme that helps Europe's poorest areas to regenerate their economies and create jobs.
